Taro Protein Powder

The product arrived unsealed and some of the powder had leaked out. When mixed with room-temperature water according to the instructions, the texture was thick and the taste was strange, with almost no taro flavor. I couldn’t drink more than two sips. Very disappointing overall.

I was so excited for this product! I follow the siblings one social media and was super interested in the flavors. Black sesame is one of my favorite flavors of all time in desserts so I thought why not give it ago.

Unfortunately I do find the flavors to be lacking.

The products also arrived covered in a powdery residue on the outside of the containers - no problem but just FYI.

I got this because I love taro flavor and the color and it hasn't tasted powdery or too sweet or artificial like other protein powders. I also find it fairly easy to mix, very convenient.

This is my second time buying. I usually mix these with frozen fruit for a smoothie or yogurt for protein yogurt. I really liked this flavor and black sesame. I don't like thickeners like guar gum in my protein but might just be me. My (Chinese) boyfriend really liked the black sesame flavor and said it tastes just like black sesame desserts, but that he would finish each container in a week. I'd also really appreciate more servings in a container! Overall love the flavor, wish it didn't have guar gum, and need more servings in a container!

I've tried so many protein powders over the past two years and have found my favorite. I'm a huge fan of taro flavored drinks and this tastes so good without being too sweet. Compared to Boba Tea Protein, I find Nouru more natural and less artificially sweet, similar to actual Asian tasting drinks. Also a big fan of Nouru's black sesame protein powder since it's so unique. Would love to see more flavors!
